CHAOS (TORU YANO, TOMOHIRO ISHII & KAZUCHIKA OKADA) VS BULLET CLUB (CHASE OWENS, EVIL & JAY WHITE)
I know that Ishii and Jay White had a match last night (that I want to watch) so I also have to keep that in mind. But in here we have a good ol’ BC vs Chaos tag match in Ishii, Okada & Yano vs Owens, EVIL & Jay White. I know I probably missed on a couple things but one thing is very certain that Yano can’t and won’t be pinned. And practically in almost all of the matches he is in Chaos wins unless it goes no contest. So I predict that Team Chaos will win. Like kinda always.
IWGO HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM TITLES MATCH – GUERRILLAS OF DESTINY (TAMA TONGA & TANGA LOA) (C) VS CHAOS (HIROOKI GOTO & YOSHI-HASHI)
This will be the 1st title defense for the current champs since winning the titles a while back in Bullet Club’s G.O.D against two-thirds NEVER Trios Champs – CHAOS’ Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI. This rivalry has come up to be thanks to the rivalry from Jay White & Tomohiro Ishii, and the match they had for the NEVER Trio Titles a while back. So far, it seem like it’s been back and forth. G.O.D’s Team has won some, and Chaos’ has had their own wins too. But in the end, I believe G.O.D will prevail and retain the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships.
NEVER OPENWEIGHT TITLE MATCH – HIROSHI TANAHASHI (C) VS THE GREAT-O-KHAN
Here we have Hiroshi Tanahashi vs The Great OKhan reviving their rivalry from Wrestle Kingdom, but now with the stakes higher than ever thanks to the addition of the NEVER Openweight Championship that Tanahashi currently holds. I have my doubts. Rather, I just haven’t quite decided how I pick will win this match. On one hand, this is Tana’s 1st title defense and usually it’s a lower chance he loses. Then we have Okhan who lost to Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom and he is looking for not only revenge, but now to take his championship away from him. Decisions, decisions. *hours later* ALRIGHT! I finally picked.. (cliffhanger much?)
IWGP JR HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH – BUSHI VS EL PHANTASMO VS EL DESPERADO
It’s a bummer that our boy Hiromu Takahashi had to relinquish his IWGP Jr Heavyweight Title because of injury. It gave me flashbacks to last time, but since it has a definite date of return I feel like it’s gonna fine. Till then, we need a new champion. One that will represent the division well until Takahashi returns. And oh boy.. the lord is testing me on this one. On one hand, we have BUSHI, who is Hiromu’s bestie and will do anything to bring honor to him and is also an amazing wrestler. Then, we have ELP, who is a jerk and whatever ig. And then we have, El freaking Desperado, and you most probably know I feel a certain way for sexy,sexy Despy, and you know what? I am picking El Desperado. And I hope NJPW picks well because I am planning on doing a list of reasons why Despy is so awesome. I’m not kidding! Then and there, you will understand why he is the perfect candidate to be the new leader (for now) of the Jr Division.
IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH – KOTA IBUSHI (C) VS TETSUYA NAITO
And finally! The main event of Castle Attack – Kota Ibushi vs Tetsuya Naito for only the Intercontinental Championship, which was a bold move by Naito since he could’ve chosen both titles. But Naito has history with the IC and it makes all the sense in the world to reach comfort on what’s given you so much good fortune in the past. And since Ibushi doesn’t wanna continue carrying two belts then why not give it to Naito? So to me, it is a no brainer. I want Tetsuya Naito to win the IC belt. It looks good on him, and we need Naito with a title. We just do! He makes that belt worth a fortune.
conclusions
So what are your thoughts right now before tomorrow’s NJPW Castle Attack show happens? I think this will be a very interesting match with – like I said early – back-to-back-to-back-to-back title matches. That to me sounds like it’s gonna be quite exciting to watch, and I obviously can’t wait for it. Hope you feel the same way. Anyways, this is it. Please, stay safe & take care.
